Spectacular!

I loved this!

I honestly believe you should work on an all-original piece.

Not horrible.

As an artist:

The cartoon was decent. The music was decent. Execution was decent. It was front-page worthy, but only just. Not much else I can say here. There's nothing groundbreaking, or even particularly interesting here from an artist's standpoint.... Nevertheless, it was executed properly, and I cannot justify giving you a 9/10 instead of a 10/10, just know that I was really thinking about it.

As a libertarian:

I appreciate this particular animation's focus towards avoiding the idiotic "Let's ban tobacco" approach and addressing the true problem with smoking in the world: The CHOICE to smoke. Glancing over a few reviews, it appears that some begrudged smokers here have become inspired to give a shot at quitting smoking. Perhaps with this on front page, several hundred will try to quit, and if even 1 of those hundred who tried to quit succeeds and lives a better life, then I suppose this animation did its job didn't it?

As a smoker:

I'm not a cigarette smoker. I'm a casual pipe tobacco smoker. I'm not addicted to nicotine, and I smoke so incredibly infrequently it's insane. Really, I tend to smoke on occasion, NOT as a coping mechanism, so I feel compelled to mention: Not all tobacco smokers are addicted cigarette smokers. Comparing me to a common cigarette addict is a lot like comparing a fine wine taster to a common alcoholic. It's almost insulting. I do not intend on "quitting" my pipe and anyone who asks me to can go screw themselves... and so I again thank you jackbliss... for NOT doing that, and for staying focused on the TRUE problem.

jackbliss responds:

Thanks for the extremely detailed and well though out review! I'm glad even through your heavy analysis my simple work was able to score a perfect 10. It's a well earned one I suspect coming from a very very respectable mature reviewer. The art is very basic as you said but so long as it carries the heart of the message and moves people into perhaps quit smoking... wow I mean seriously... it does not get better than that for ANY artist! :)

Great!

Quite a mix of talents here. Some of these were OUTSTANDING! Others were simply bad.

In this end it was enjoyable.

(btw, You spelled inflammation wrong)

Simple, yet tense. Nice. This is a very fun game. It'd seem like Russian Roulette wouldn't have much potential, but playing enough will point out some simple objective math to maximize probability of survival. I see more potential behind this game in the form of cinematics, writing, and maybe the addition of more rules or players.

Want to maximize your survival?
ALWAYS try to shoot your opponent UNLESS...

1- ...it's a 1/3 chance, at which point, spin the cylinder.

If you try to shoot them when there's a 1/3 chance left, it WILL be a death sentence. Picture this: *click 1*
*click 2*
*click 3*
Now you have the gun, with only 1/3 of a chance of it going off. If you point it at them, more likely than not (2/3, of course), they'll survive, and that will be the last time the gun will be pointed at them.
*click 4*
Checkmate; You're forced to turn the gun onto yourself for 1/2, and even if...
*click 5*
...you actually survived that, you're forced to hand the gun over to your opponent, who, given the 1/1 chance, WILL point it to you and...
*BANG*

NOTE: If you're at 1/3, but you have already used your "cylinder spin", then point it at yourself, (in the off-chance of them getting nervous and using THEIR cylinder spin);
THE MATH BEHIND THAT IDEA: If you point it at them, you'll have 1/3 of a chance of killing them, but then you're "checkmated" so to speak (1/3 chance of killing them translates to 2/3 chance of you dying). BUT... If you point it at yourself, you'll take 1/3 of a chance, and the gun will go to them, who will either point it at you for 1/2 of a chance of you dying (which, after the math, still equates to them facing 1/3 of a chance at death, and you having taken 2/3 of a chance anyway) OR they'll decide to use THEIR cylinder spin (the objective in turning it on yourself), bringing the odds back in your favor (they probably won't use a pure "always try to shoot the opponent" tactic, AND... if they did, it'd be very very close to the previous 50/50 risk anyway)

2- ...it's a 1/2 chance, at which point, spin the cylinder.

If you continue the "always try to shoot the opponent" tactic, your odds will be > 1/2 (even if they also always try to shoot you as well. This is due to the fact that you always go first in this game).
NOTE: If you've already spun the cylinder, obviously, try to shoot them, as it's unlikely that they'll use their cylinder spin or commit suicide when they have a 1/1 chance of killing you, lol...

Awesome, now run with it

More levels, more combos, more weapon variety, more enemies.

Air combos were a bit overpowered, and fighting on the ground was rarely worth it. When it came to "bosses", it behooved the player to fight like a total coward, which plays nicely but looks retarded lol.

I like it for what it's worth.

Astoundingly tense.

Knowing I only had 1 chance to play this game made it incredibly intense. I don't regret my decisions. I worked every single opportunity and "won" (I'm assuming this is the best ending... I can't imagine it going any better)

I was totally into it.

YEAH!

UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE UNCE!

I've never reviewed an audio file

but this caught my attention to such extreme extents on http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/194766 that game. It completley made the game superior, and I definatley plan on using this on my animation I am currently working on.

I didn't technically give you straight tens because it would be rude to give you straight tens when I don't know the first thing about audio

sounds amazing on 5.1 ss too XD

Well

Im not a music-type of person. i have no musical incline besides my piano.

Originality gets an 8 cause i've never heard of something like this.

clarity is 8 cause it sounds like it can be used in a real RPG almost.

the effort I gave a 10 because im not sure how hard it is to make something like this, nor do i know how to make something like this period.

U caught my attention when I saw u had my movie as your favorite lol

randi0 responds:

The music itself is not that hard to make with the right programs, the time goes into getting a catchy melody, then spending time trying to harmonize other tracks. Then, I basicly just type it in.

Just so you know, this DOES suck. It is one of my early works actually. I've made a lot of better music on some better programs I've found, but for some reason doesn't upload...
